These baksets are all made by artisans who are in training. The patterns are imperfect, and may not be semetrical, but that gives them even more character.
Baskets are made by sewing strips of plastic around local grasses. The plastic comes from potato or rice sacks, and plastic bags.
This is the first time we are offering training baskets for sale online. Each piece was handpicked by our US team when we visited groups in Uganda. By purchasing these "imperfect" pieces, we ensure that every group member is able to make a sale so they can support their families.
 
Baskets are approximately 6" tall, but sizes may vary slightly.
