Meet Our Family: Sarah

Margaret and Emma is founded on the mission of helping women improve their lives by providing them with a means to make a living. Each woman that works with us has a unique story. She is bold she is determined, and she is valued. We cherish our family, and part of our mission is to share their stories.

Meet Sarah:

Sarah is from Karegyere, Muko Rubanda District. Growing up deaf and dumb, Sarah was unable to attend school. Her disability hindered her from getting a job. That changed when she trained to make crafts. Her skill in craft-making has allowed her to provide for herself. Purchasing Sarah’s crafts enables her to afford basic needs like medication, clothes and food.

Being a member of M&E enables her to interact with other group members and she is always smiling. Where her disability was once a hinderance, it is now a part of her story. She finds joy in her work, and spreads that joy to the women she works with.

Sarah is unique, driven, and bright. and we are blessed to have her in our Margaret & Emma family.
